Rich in color with beguiling beauty, this hand knotted wool distressed vintage Turkish Sivas rug beautifully embodies rustic Victorian style. The lovingly time-worn beige field is covered in an all-over Herati pattern. The Classic Herati pattern, also known as the Mahi or Fish pattern, is amongst the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. It is enclosed with a Herati border flanked with an inner and outer floral Meander guard border. Perfect for a small space, reading nook, powder bath, grand foyer, designer entry, study, studio, den, walk-in closet, stair landing, alcove, mudroom, entryway, bedroom, private library, private chambers, living room, front room, wine cellar, conservatory, drawing room, trophy room, game room, music room, masters retreat, royal suite, executive suite, formal vestibule, or hotel lobby.
