Fine Vintage Turkish Oushak Rug 8’0" x 10’0". Town in Western Anatolia, weaving mostly room sizes, in coarse to moderate weave, high pile. Antiques are all wool, changing to cotton foundations in the 1920’s. Geometric or Persian-derived patterns, soft or strong palettes; allover or medallion. Informal execution. Carpets change with interior design fashions. Mostly carpets, some very large, also a few runners and scatters. No prayer rugs. Moderate to expensive.
