About the Item
Ki collection was created by Studio Marmi, an award winning design studio based in Istanbul. Named after the word “Ki” for Earth in the Sumerian language, and informed by Mesopotamian culture and aesthetics, the tufted wool rug collection creates a contemporary language that takes reference from colors, textures and geometric motifs of stone reliefs widely used in the region.
With its circular band of colors, earth tones and simple contours, the Ki no4 Rug showcases elegance and comfort, blending a contemporary style with ancient inspirations.
Studio Marmi is committed to use locally sourced natural wool as main fiber for this collection in order to reduce the environmental impact. We work with traditional craftsmen and weavers to create sustainable livelihoods for small local economies.
