This sublime and enchanting antique rug, a gorgeous Sivas rug made in Turkey around the turn of the 20th century, is a profoundly beautiful piece. This elegant and reserved antique Sivas rug has an open field of salmon and soft red in the background surrounded by a richly detailed classical arabesque and floral border. The detailed center medallion animates the salmon tone and plays off of the finely detailed texture of the border. This regal carpet shows how it is sometimes true that less can be more and offers a unique opportunity to bring genuine work of art into your home.
