Rare antique Oushak large sized rug of the Turkish family featuring a pronounced abrash (original die color variation or differing color patterns, colorations, and various shades or hues within a rug. It is one of the most common and typical characteristics of a genuine oriental rug, and especially among older or 'nomadic' handmade rugs.)
With a bright bold color palette of natural vegetable dyes, it is hand knotted wool pile on cotton, with a pattern of medallions and floral vines displayed on fields of delicate floral tracery.
