Vintage Kars Rug with Diamond Medallion
About the Item
The complex pole medallion of four diamonds is set on a creamy beige field. Around the diamonds are conforming chains of stylized eaves, while at the centres are squares each with four schematic palmette extenders. The narrow border of simple crosses held in place by the finials of the pole medallion. Shades of brown from chocolate to rusty tan. Striped end plainweave finishes. Moderately knotted on wool.
