50504 Vintage Turkish Oushak rug with Warm Luxury Russian Home Style 07'08 X 13'02. This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug blends traditional elegance with a farmhouse adding charm and perfect combination of warmth and luxury. The centre cusped medallion is flanked with anchor pendants at either end floating in an open abrashed coffee colored field. The central medallion and spandrels are filled with an elegant floral pattern composed of palmettes, stylized flowers, Harshang motifs, rosettes, leaves, and rectilinear vines. The spandrels and center medallion are enclosed with a thin band with spiked edges and interrupted with a square Doric abacus in each corner. The rectangular bands contain roses alternating with a calligraphic script and meandering stylized leaves. A saw-tooth border frames the medallion, spandrels, and rectangular bands. This vintage Oushak rug is completed with a series of borders, from the Shah Abbas palmette border flanked with an inner running water guard band and outer floral Meander guard band to the thin Meander stripes-- it is finished with an outer cengel s-hook guard border for protection against the evil eye. Warm and welcoming combined with snug and cozy, this Oushak rug charms with ease and stays true to Fine craftsmanship and the luxury of Russian dachas home style. Perfect for a bedroom, dining room, living room, front room, mudroom, study, office, sitting room, or sunroom. Rendered in variegated shades of coffee, mushroom, camel, brown, chocolate, sienna, tan, ecru, sand, taupe and beige with muted accents of rose, mauve, light gray and celadon.
