The classic Elibelinde motif, also known as the "hands on hips" or goddess symbol, embodies the timeless ideals of motherhood and fertility. Framing this captivating centerpiece, the medallion and corner spandrels are filled with abstract floral motifs and scrolling acanthus leaves, surrounded by yin and yang pearl drops that trace their elegant contours. Though originally rooted in Chinese philosophy, the yin and yang symbol in Anatolian culture embodies love and unison, symbolizing fertility and the harmony between man and woman.
