"In-Canto" is the product of G.T.DESIGN’s extensive research in textile fibers, particularly in the use of viscose in rug design. The shimmering and soft properties of bamboo viscose are highlighted through a contemporary manual weaving technique developed through years of work with this yarn.
Only 8 mm thick, the precious and magnetic rug shimmers in the light and provides an unparalleled tactile and visual experience while seamlessly blending in its surroundings.
A trendsetter in the industry, "In-Canto" has inspired countless reproductions that could never quite achieve its high quality and stunning beauty.
Creative Director Deanna Comellini designed "In-Canto" to be deliberately lightweight and plush, classic and contemporary.
In the color Ecru, a warm gray tone inspired by the Italian Renaissance, "In-Canto" brings a minimalist touch and lightness to traditional interiors and softens and embellishes modern environments with a great versatility. "In-Canto" is a vegan and sustainable rug that uses non-toxic and azo-free dyes and is made with viscose fiber sourced from plant cellulose that doesn’t cause deforestation.

Deanna Comellini is an artist and a designer.
For over 40 years, she has experimented by combining craftsmanship and industrial design while working first on product design and later on textiles. She has developed the notion of "imperfect design", highlighting the minor flaws of materials and handmade products that make them unique and one-of-a-kind. In the 1990s, she focused on the concept of the contemporary rug and natural materials while innovating the industry with a new textile for interior design. In 1977, she founded G.T.DESIGN taking on the role of Creative Director. She participated in prestigious international exhibitions and collaborated with important architectural figures, including Toyo Ito and the Zaha Hadid Architects studio.
In 2022 she has been selected by Forbes as one of the “100 Most Influential Italian Women of the year”.
