About the Item
From the European collection, this Aubusson Kilim piece is an original by Rug & Kilim, which derives its inspiration from an 18th-Century French style pattern of the same celebrated lineage. Handmade in a wool flatweave, this Aubusson Kilim enjoys a variety of floral elements within the piece, but the focal point is a circular medallion within the center of the kilim rug. The center of the medallion holds a white flower within a pink, red, and white circle. A fan-folded pink circle follows, while a garland of flowers encircles these elements, as a pink border surrounds the entire centerpiece. An all-over pattern of green daisies fills the beige square in which the centerpiece sits. Bordering the square is a garland of pink daisies and white tulips connected through a green stem. This 5’10 x 6’ piece is a near square Kilim rug, particularly well suited for a foyer, a master bedroom, and a variety of projects seeking one of the most elegant European styles in history. Originating from one of our most reputed long-standing partner looms in China.
