About the Item

This is a vintage European Spanish rug that was used as a salesman sampler showing clients the different designs with correlating numbers they can order from. This piece was woven during the mid 20th century circa 1950 – 1970’s and measures 311 x 255 CM in size. these salesman samplers are extremely rare due to the fact that there was a very limited production of them and that every year they were scrapped and replaced with a new example that had the updated designs and colors. The fact that this piece has survived and has been retained in near-perfect condition makes it an extremely rare and unique piece showing the history behind textile production in Spain.
