About the Item

This rare armchair was produced in Italy during the 1950s, with its design attributed to Augusto Bozzi, who created several very similar metal-framed lounge chairs for Saporiti during that period. The striking design features a rounded, organically shaped seat shell with outward-bending armrests and a comfortable, padded seat cushion. The frame is crafted from black lacquered steel, with a hairpin-style back leg and a front leg placed at an angle. The legs are connected by a steel central stretcher, and the design is completed with brass feet. Designed for both style and comfort, the chair provides excellent seating support, making it a functional yet elegant addition to any space. The chair is in very good, restored condition and has been reupholstered in a bouclé, faux sheepskin-like fabric. The color is a subtle off-white with a warm nude undertone.
