Degraded birch couture armchair
Dimensions: D 73 x W 70 x H 101 cm
Materials: Seat structure in solid wood and upholstered. Backrest in varnished walnut or degraded birch made up of pieces sewn together with polyamide thread. Upholstered in BD’s different materials. Includes in swivel system.
Available upholstered in different fabrics and leather and, available in Little Couture.
The stitches represent a topographic map resulting in an organic pattern, simulating the growth in wood. The use of gradient colors for the wood amplifies the effect of layers used and increases the sensation of unifying hard materials. The result is an armchair with a strong personality which holds maximum evidence of artisanal processes. The Couture Armchair is a fusion of artisanal and industrial techniques.
In 1972, a group of young architects and designers from Barcelona created BD with the aim of producing and marketing furniture and other objects for our projects, with complete creative freedom and with a criterion that has turned out to be quite different from the norm at companies in the sector, regarding both the shape and function.
