French Art Deco Oakwood Armchair by Charles Dudouyt

About the Item

An armchair designed by Charles Dudouyt in the 1940s. Foldable back. The Art Deco design is exquisitely wonderful, and it blends in well with the vintage of the mid-century period, but it has a good design that gives off a strong presence. Both the seat and back have been newly upholstered with rush grass, so they are not only durable but also hygienic to use. They start out greenish in color, but will turn amber over time. We hope you enjoy this change as well.

FRP manufacturing technology was introduced to Japan from America in 1954, as exemplified by the Charles & Ray Eames chairs of the 1950s. This is a vintage product from the 60's. This model can be found in the book "Kenmochi Isamu...
