Hendrix Allardyce Italian Baroque Style Leather Library Chair
About the Item
Grand hardwood and leather library armchair designed by Hendrix Allardyce in the Italian Baroque taste. The monumental chair features a hand-carved hardwood frame with large molded arms that gracefully curve and end with scrolled hands. The generous seat has a tall, flat back upholstered with thick tufted leather hides. The leather has an intentionally aged, distressed patina to mimic an 18th century piece and has patinated brass tack nail heads along the border. The front legs are conjoined by spindle turned stretchers and square legs in the rear. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a handsome profile and large scale construction.
