Italian leather & steel Plona armchair Giancarlo Piretti, Anonima Castelli 1970s.
Plona model armchair, foldable, with chromed oval aluminum tube structure and original black leather seat.
Production by Anonima Castelli from approx. 1970. and drawing by Giancarlo Piretti from 1969, with label present.
Vintage condition, has some marks on the leather and staples visible in one of the corners of the seat on the front.
Measurements in cm 68.5x58x73h 44h seat
Splendid and iconic armchair or small armchair, because it is small to medium in size, Plona model, from the famous design by the artist and master Giancarlo Piretti and produced by the historic Anonima Castelli company.
Also perfect when taken as a pair, we have several in our shop, in a living room or in a conversation corner of a study, they are very fun armchairs, light and also foldable so they can also be used when necessary and perfect in small homes.

Giancarlo Piretti
Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums, including MoMA, New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with his son, designer Alessandro Piretti.
