About the Item
The Morphologica armchair and sofa manifest the need to rethink what it means to be radical. Designed by Misha Kahn in 2024 for Meritalia.
The Morphologica armchair and sofa, born from the collaboration between Meritalia and the groundbreaking designer Misha Kahn, are made of an assemblage of modules – 12 for the sofa and 8 for the armchair – of sculpted polyurethane foam upholstered with bouclé wool fabric. The colour possibilities are endless, matches the multifariousness of the new Meritalia’s pop-modernity. A solid metal structure allows for the roller coasters of foam to swirl, enmesh and expand, resulting in an experimental, sexy more than playful, and almost ‘shocking couch’, as Kahn himself defined it.

Care & Maintenance
In case of stain act promptly dabbing the surface gently without damaging it. The lack of timeliness in the action makes cleaning less effective, resulting in the permanence of marks. Light colour fabrics should not be put in contact with coloured textiles with unbound dyes since colour pigments could penetrate coated fabric’s surface without being able to be removed.
In case of slight stains, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or a mild detergent and rinse with water.
For localized and stubborn stains (oil, grease, cosmetics, coffee, liqueurs, chewing-gum) it is advisable to follow the following instructions: promptly dissolve the stain with diluted ethyl alcohol (colorless liquid) in 20% water, dab and then treat with a solution of mild detergent, rinse well.

Misha Kahn
Misha Kahn was born in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1989. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2011 and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Tel Aviv the following year. In 2008, Kahn's work was included in 20 under 20 at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota. His concrete Heyerdahl lamps were among the works in Bjarne Melgaard’s 2013 installation at the Whitney Biennial and his work was exhibited in 2014 at NYC Makers: MAD Biennial at the Museum of Art and Design, New York. Kahn lives and works in Brooklyn.
