Pair of Mid-19th Century French Louis XV Style Gilt Wood Armchairs

About the Item

This pair of mid-nineteenth century gilt wood armchairs is in the classic French Louis XV style. The hand carved frames are detailed with simple fluting and scrolling armrests. With gently curved cabriole legs finished with escargot feet, this fine pair was upholstered in France in moire silk with a floral motif. c. 1860.
