About the Item

A bold and comfortable pair of lounge armchairs designed by Guy Rogers, UK, in the 1970s. These chairs feature striking chrome-plated steel steel frames with deep, generously cushioned seats upholstered in their original mustard-gold velvet—a rich tone that perfectly captures the warm, textural aesthetic of the era. The chairs combine clean-lined modernism with plush comfort, offering a relaxed but confident presence in any setting—ideal for a reading nook, lounge area, or statement corner. Dimensions: Width: 83 cm. Depth: 82 cm. Height: 87 cm. Seat Height: 44 cm. Condition: The original velvet upholstery has been professionally cleaned and preserved, retaining its vintage character and vibrant tone with soft, even wear. The chrome frames have been cleaned and polished to revive their shine while keeping light patina appropriate to their age. We opted for a sympathetic refresh rather than a full restoration, in order to preserve the authenticity and integrity of the original design and materials. Why They Stand Out: Original 1970s style in its best form—chrome, velvet, and comfort, all preserved with care and authenticity.
