We are delighted to offer for sale this extremely well made circa 1900 George Hepplewhite style Mahogany & Giltwood armchair A very decorative and well made armchair, this piece is a tour de force of carving and giltwood decoration, its upholstered with a Victorian designed Silk damask upholstery, every piece of this chair is pure art furniture, it looks expensive and important from every angle We have lightly cleaned waxed and polished the frame, the upholstery has some light age and use related patina marks here and there, mostly its in fine order Dimensions Height:- 97.5cm Width:- 68cm Depth:- 62cm Seat height:- 45cm Arm height:- 67cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.

This is a beautiful antique giltwood armchair, in the fabulous Regency style, and early 20th century in date. The gilded chair has been beautifully carved with reeded lines and medallion plaques. The arms and supports scroll out in exaggerated curves which support the lime green upholstered back and seat. Add a touch of class to your home with this exceptional antique armchair.
