Vintage Hollywood Regency Black Lacquer Armchairs With Velvet Cheetah Print
About the Item
20th c., a pair of Hollywood Regency black lacquer armchairs with cotton velvet cheetah print upholstery accented with French navy braided trim. The chairs are larger than standard chairs of this type which works beautifully with the sinuous curves and lines of the frame. The navy braided trim adds a crisp and tailored detail to highlight the form of the frame.
These chairs each have a black painted wood frame with padded shield-form back, outward scrolling arms, and a shaped seat. They are upholstered in a tactile cream and camel colored cotton velvet animal print in contrasting stripes trimmed in a blue braided trim, raised on thin cabriole legs.
