1930s Charles Dudouyt French Low Side Chair

CHARLES DUDOUYT (France, 1885-1946). Side chair "Straw", 1930s. Structure in bulrush wood and wicker seat. Measurements: 66 x 46 x 39 cm. Beautiful small chair that could work in any design. Tradition and craftsmanship go hand in hand in Charles Dudouyt's furniture. His pieces leave behind French classicism to adopt contemporary forms of greater refinement. With its sturdy structure, the chair in question shows the rusticity that characterized Dudouyt's designs. Purchased from an auction in Barcelona, Spain in 2021
