About this set of 12 chairs by Jacques Adnet A rare set of 12 red leather saddle stitch chairs. Composed of 10 chairs and 2 armchairs with steel armrests covered in leather. The chairs and the 2 armchairs consist of a steel structure covered in leather and a padded seat. The feet with faux bamboo decoration are made of solid brass. Particularly elegant set, emblematic of the artist's work. Jacques Adnet was born in 1900 in France. A graduate of the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, he took over the management of the "Compagnie des Arts Français" in 1928 and succeeded in modernizing the house. He imagines many pieces of furniture and accessories: coat racks, chairs, desks, etc. Adnet is also particularly known for his leather-covered metal creations adorned with saddle stitch seams. His designs remain incredibly modern and remain current. They are synonymous with comfort and elegance.
