About the Item

Revivify is to make something strong and healthy again. That's what we do here at the Montage workshop in Connecticut. I have included some before pictures to illustrate how far we went with this 1940s Paul Frankl D chair. I believe this is an early post-World War 2 model. The chair has 4 wooden corbels which stabilize the piece and keep it solid. The springing is innovative. 2 Diminutive coiled springs holding a metal strap performed in a series to uphold the seat cushion, The criss-crossing of the straps adds to the stability as well. We selected a beautiful soft green velvet for the pillows and the spring cover. A bullnose technique was utilized on the pillows. We chose to sand and refinish the maple frame with a clear and ambient coat of clear lacquer. Voila!
