3LC T Lounge Chair by Katavolos Litell & Kelley for Laverne International
About the Item
3LC Laverne International T lounge chair designed by William Katavolos, Ross Litell & David Kelley in the early 1950ies.
Hardly any other chair konjugates one particular shape comparable to the T-Chair: three T-legs, assembled with a T-cross brace under its seat & the strong T-shaped leather sling. Like a material poem these chairs reveal beauty in variation & correspondence. This formal design approach maybe is unique to the T-chair series which makes it unique amongst a variety of lounge and dining chairs.
This remarkable design won the architects collective an AID design Award in 1952 for this design.
Chairs has been reupholstered years ago in strong leather hide in natural leather.
