About the Item

Boomerang Lounge Chair model FD 134 designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France & Daverkosen Manufactured by France & Daverkosen, this model FD134 becomes popular as the „Boomerang“ Chair. This chair is a 1960ies production and remains in very good vintage condition with few signs of use, appropriate to age and wear. The upholstery has once been renewed with a light green fabric that has a wonderful correspondence with the teak frame. Characterictic for the work of Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen is an outstanding sense for detail and construction that give their furniture a very special, highly esthetic presence. Best Danish craftsmanship allows to keep the low profile of the frame - a perfect match between stability and lightness of the chairs design - with just as much as it needs. The upholstery foam is kept thin and the experspring construction of the seat provides a very good comfort in these small dimensions. Nice brass details in beautiful contrast with the solid teak Wood round up this piece. For shipping it would possible to disassemble the legs from the seat shell, which will allow to ship in a smaller cartonage on a palette. Reassembly is rather easy - please let us know if this would be your preference - It would certainly lower shipping rates.
