Limited edition Piet Hein Eek MVPHE easy chair for Spectrum, The Netherlands.
Piet Hein Eek designed the quirky MVPHE armchair with round shapes as a tribute to his friend and designer Martin Visser, Spectrum’s art director in the 1950s and 1960s. The compact and voluptuous design of the MVPHE (Martin Visser, Piet Hein Eek) does not initially suggest that it is inspired by Visser’s form-follows-function design philosophy. Nevertheless, the starting point of Piet Hein Eek, Vissers SZ 73 armchair from 1968, is clearly reflected in his design. The MVPHE armchair is available as a First Edition of 30 pieces, each piece is gifted with a unique number and a certificate.
Available in three different colors of Kvadrat upholstery: Tonus 129, Tonus 131 and Tonus 615.
