A Rich History Milo Baughman, a luminary in the world of mid-century design, was renowned for his innovative take on furniture aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from fellow Californians Charles and Ray Eames, Baughman’s designs exuded a relaxed and breezy air, steering clear from ostentatious designs. His aesthetic simplicity was exceptionally profound, relying heavily on sturdy flat-bar chromed metal for seating and table frames, beautifully figured wood veneers and balanced geometric proportions. With a career spanning over five decades, Baughman left an indelible mark on the design world. These cane-backed dining chairs are no exception and are a true representation of his ingenuity. Their clean lines, impeccable proportions, and masterful craftsmanship make them a cherished collection among collectors and connoisseurs alike. Thayer Coggin, the esteemed manufacturer, has upheld a tradition of excellence since its founding in 1953.
