This is an antique love seat. An English, walnut and textile duet bench or dog bed, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840. Beautifully presented seat, with appealing upholstery and fine show frame Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Select walnut stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues Superb quality, double piped textile a benefit of a recent professional reupholstering Of striking low back form with a deep, demi-lune seat squab Serpentine carved cappings to the elbows present a distinctive appearance Cabriole leg to centre with broad oval knee, framed by a trio of turned tapering legs Would make a delightful luxury dog bed for a favoured friend, or seating within a conservatory This is a wonderful antique love seat, with a fascinating form and quality upholstery.
