About the Item

This two-seat sofa was designed by Fredrik Kayser for Vatne Lenestolfabrikk (ca. 1960s, Norway). Magnificent frame in sculpted teak with armrests resembling two conjoined cul-de-sacs. Solid patinated brass posts connect the seats to the frame in the back. The original design offered two options: one with two contoured, floating seats (as is the case with our model) and a version in which the seats are combined to form a single, continuous seat / back (more commonly seen). We preserved the original design by maintaining two separate seats. The amber-tan leather and foam are new. H: 29.25" x W: 51.5" x D: 26" Arm height: 20.13" Seat height (at the lowest point): 12.25" Seat height (at the edge): 15.5"
