About the Item

Rocking chair in pine designed by Göran Malmvall, Svensk Fur - series model 513 for Karl Andersson & Söner. Sportstugemöbel, a part of the trend of Sportstugor / cabins with focus on sport activities as skiing, built in Sweden during the mid-1900s. Nice patina, signs of age and wear. Natural cracks -nothing that effects the stability. Sheepskin and original seat pillow included. Göran Malmvall (1917-2001), youngest son of the founder of Karl Andersson & Söner. Göran Malmvall was a pupil of Carl Malmsten. He was active as a furniture designer at Karl Andersson & Söner from an early age until 1982. He designed among others, Svensk Fur, Svitjod and the popular KA 72 cabinet series.
