Pair of Tomlinson Bullhorn Slipper Chairs by John Lubberts and Lambert Muller

About the Item

A beautiful and rare set of Tomlinson slipper chairs from the Sophisticates line circa 1950's. The model 650 chair was designed by John Lubberts & Lambert Mulder. These chairs have a walnut frame, bullhorn detail, stunning caned backs and loose upholstered cushions with the original upholstery. They are in exceptional condition. They retain the original custom label that features the name of the family they were made for. Finding this chair in this condition, with its original upholstery, is unheard of. This is a rare opportunity. American furniture designers John Lubberts and Lambert Mulder formed a partnership soon after World War II. Their best known designs were created for Tomlinson. Although we are offering these 2 chars as a set, we have a 3rd chair in a separate listing. It is identical to these chairs.
