'Móveis Cimo' two-seater Sofa In solid Imbuia wood. Brazil 1960

About the Item

'Móveis Cimo' two-seater Sofa In solid Imbuia wood. Brazil 1960. The highest historical reference in Brazilian furniture design, Companhia Industrial de Móveis, nicknamed Móveis Cimo, was first created to reuse walnut leftovers from the family sawmill that produced boxes. From then on, the brothers Jorge and Martin Zipperer began to manufacture chair legs and soon after dedicated themselves to developing different furniture, and knew how to fill the furniture vacuum that existed in the country with German wisdom and discipline. At the time, there were no companies that produced good quality furniture on an industrial scale, but there were more and more places that needed to be equipped, such as homes, cinemas, public offices and schools. Any questions, feel free to ask.
