French 19th Century Empire St. Mahogany, Ormolu And Marble Buffet/Cabinet
About the Item
A handsome French 19th century Empire st. Mahogany, Ormolu and marble buffet/cabinet. The buffet is raised on two half round front and two back block supports below the straight apron flanked by circular columns accented with bottom Ormolu plinths and top capitals. Above are two doors showcasing the stunning Mahogany wood grain and original foliate keyhole escutcheons, centered by a recessed compartment with an arched top and additional Mahogany columns. Leading up to the top apron, are two additional drawers, one being above the recessed compartment and another large drawer running the length of the cabinet and below the wonderful black marble top.
