About the Item

Fantastic and unusual Antique Dark Oak Linen Cabinet. Constructed during the late 17th century, this linen cabinet was built in solid oak and comprised of two pieces. The bottom components design features a wavy x-base stretcher, two storage drawers, and turned legs that end in squared ball-and-claw feet. The upper cabinet was designed with paneled doors, and 8 adjustable interior shelves. The original pierced brasses that line the front drawers contrasted with rich dark oak that has patinated wonderfully throughout time makes this piece even more special. This piece is from a long-established family estate in the northeast. Dimensions: 48 in. Width (both pieces) 73.5 in. Height (When both pieces combined) 22.25 in. Depth (Widest point of bottom piece) 8.5 in. Clearance of X base to bottom 18.5 in. Interior Depth of drawers 19 in. Interior Height of drawers Condition notes: In good condition, with minor losses consistent with the piece's age and use through time. The cabinet has been newly refinished and restored, and it is evident that the cabinet has been restored throughout its life such as reframing of doors and repairs to the trim and legs.
