About the Item

A beautifully made mahogany chest by Maitland-Smith with large upper beveled mirror supported by two round wooden columns with nicely carved finials, over three fitted small banded drawers over flame mahogany veneered case with a single long frieze drawer flanked by heavily carved cabriole front legs, terminating with paw feet, with a shaped lower base stretcher shelf and rear round column legs. The base shelf is supported by four tapered carved feet. This piece dates to the late 20th century and is in very good overall condition, with minimal surface wear and imperfections commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 79 in H x 38 in W x 19 in D.
