Magnificently Carved 18th Century English Mahogany Commode

About the Item

A fine mahogany commode with rectangular top with foliate carved border surmounting a case with two over one drawer configuration, foliate and scroll carved apron with center shell drop, all supported by four carved cabriole legs terminating with detailed ball & claw feet. The commode dates to 18th century England, with period brasses, probably replaced, with a nice clean finish, minor imperfections, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 31.5 in H x 43.38 in W x 21.25 in D. Ref: 787
