17th Century, Italian Hand Carved Walnut Cupboard

About the Item

17th century, Italian hand carved walnut cupboard The cupboard, in good condition, is made of solid walnut wood decorated with carvings geometric design characteristic of the taste of the North Italian (Piedmont) and French area in the 17th century. Specifically, this piece of furniture was made in Piedmont and consists of two parts. The upper one has two doors that concealed a compartment divided by a shelf. Below the high there are two small drawers and in the center a small pull compartment. Below the cabinet widens the size while keeping the pattern of the top mirror. Therefore the high end has two more comfortable drawers and the same puller in the middle. The body below, with two doors, closes a comfortable and spacious room divided by a shelf. The furniture is entirely carved, even on the sides, and although it belongs to a category of rustic furniture, the beautiful carving and the graceful compositional architecture of the whole give modernity and greater usability in many environments. It is in fact possible to place this double body in the bedroom, in a study, in a kitchen as a pantry, in a living room as a sideboard or even in a spacious bathroom to store linen and cosmetics. The color of the wood essence of the walnut and the rhomboidal geometry of the carvings allow the furniture to be combined with modern furnishings, following a very modern and trendy taste choice.
