About the Item

Decorate an office or bedroom with this elegant antique "Secretaire a Abattant". Crafted in Paris circa 1870, the fruitwood secretary stands on cabriole legs ending with bronze sabots feet over a scalloped apron decorated with a center bronze mount. The cabinet features intricate marquetry and parquetry decor including floral inlaid motifs ion the front door, decorative bronze mounts at the shoulders, and is dressed with the original variegated red marble top.
