About the Item
This drop front secretary maintains a timeless appeal due to the deeply aged patina of the oak and European country styling.
The interior has 6 drawers, 4 decorative "hidden" drawers and multiple cubbies which create an inviting interior work space.
Below the drop front are four drawers with brass key escutcheons and double brass pulls.
Desktop opens to rest on two extending "arms" or supports.
Restored, sturdy, stable and ready to use and enjoy. Old repairs are seen in location of the original locks. There are no longer keys nor functioning locks. Newer back feet.
Multiple cracks are visible (see top, sides etc.), stains, nicks, old/dried worm holes, scratches etc. and age related separation (typical in drawer bottoms) do not impact the aged appeal nor function of this 200 year-old oak bureau.
