This is a wonderfully crafted piece! The ebonized and French polished wood has a high luster, museum quality finish. Topped with a thick Carrara marble slab in great condition, this secretaire also features gilt trims throughout. The secretaire has finely cast gilt bronze hardware and the fluting is lined with gilt brass. The interior is the best part! Behind the drop front, which is lined with a gilt embossed leather and sustained with decorative brackets, is a full cabinet with dovetailed drawer, doors, and compartments. To provide additional storage, the piece also has three large bottom drawers!
