About the Item

A 19th century Louis XV style French armoire, or wardrobe, from the Loire Valley. Made of solid cherry with scroll carving on the door panels and simple carved details at the top and on the apron. Original iron escutcheons and working lock and key. White painted interior with green papered doors. Good craftsmanship using pegged construction. Waxed patina. Restoration on legs and crown. Circa 1840-1860. Overall good condition considering the age. Dimensions: 89"H x 21.5"D x 52.25"W (57.5"W at crown) Interior is 18.5"D Please refer to photos for more details.
