About the Item

Utterly stunning marquetry inlaid armoire, circa 1800s. The superb craftsmanship seen in this exceptional armoire indicates it was a commissioned piece created by a true master; this is a rare, museum quality find. Examine all the photos to appreciate the complexity of the inlaid patterns, fox, cross, obelisk, delicate outlines, names and more (resting on newer feet). The prior owner indicated this armoire was acquired from a castle in Hungary. This marquetry inlaid armoire is being sold as is, in used condition as we found it in Europe. Small pieces may be missing, nicks and scratches as noted in photos. Interior still has fabric liner which was a traditional element during the era. ** In light of current affairs and fluctuating fuel prices shipping quotes and timelines are estimates only. Buyer is required to notify us upon purchase if there are interior or exterior stairs, steps, or freight elevators necessary to complete delivery. Firm shipping costs will be provided upon confirmation of delivery information. **
