About the Item

A very rare Edwardian gentleman's plum pudding and flame mahogany wardrobe with chest base. The stepped cavetto pediment with intricately hand carved egg and dart motif raised over two doors with beautifully shaped panels of stylised rectangular form, moulded closing slip and decorative ring pulls of foliate motif, opening to reveal hanging rail. The fine chest base with decorative egg and dart motif, two short and two long graduated drawers, all cockbeaded with brass escutcheons and swan neck handles, supported on ogee bracket foot.
