Fabulous Edwardian Inlaid Display Case or Bookcase

About the Item

A fabulous quality Edwardian mahogany two door display case or bookcase, with gorgeous patination, marquetry detail and fine line inlay throughout. The broken swan neck pediment raised over moulded cornice with a lovely centred marquetry round fan motif detail, above twin astragal glazed panel doors with decorative brass escutcheon and key, opening to lined, shelved interior. Raised over a moulded, crossbanded table top above frieze with two cross banded drawers with brass swan neck handles, supported on elegant square tapering leg conjoined with concave undertier, terminating on spade foot, with brass label ‘J. and B. Blower, Shrewsbury’. Mahogany Type: ‘Santos Mahogany’
