19th Century Rosewood Game, Card Table

About the Item

This is a rosewood game, card table made in England, circa 1850. The top has rounded corners and a nicely molded edge. The top spins open to reveal storage for game pieces, cards, etc. The top then folds over to give a playing surface covered in a green Baize surrounded by Rosewood. The front of the table is beautifully shaped and carved. The pedestal is shaped and turned with 8 sides. The table rests on a Lotus carved Base with 4 carved cabriole legs with scrolled feet. Both the finish and overall condition are fantastic. This is a real beautiful table that can be used as an entry table, a hall table, a sofa table, a side table, a bedside table, or as it's original purpose, a game, card table. It measures 36 in. wide x 17 3/4 deep x 29 1/2 tall when closed. It measures 36 wide x 35 1/2 deep x 28 3/4 tall when opened.
