Early 19th Century Antique American Federal Mahog. & Birch Flap-Top Games Table

About the Item

This is a spectacular antique American Federal New England period highly figured mahogany and satin birch Flap-top serpentine Games or Card Table in the manner of the workshop of John & Thomas Seymour (Boston) as indicated by the turret corners and spool-type capitals to the delicately fluted and turned legs. It has magnificent, highly figured mahogany with a panel of satin birch to the front apron. It is also superbly figured when opened and its dimensions are 35.5" x 36.25" x 28" high when opened. It can also be used secondarily as a useful breakfast, lunch or tea table.
