Japanese antiques wood table /wabi-sabi table / primitive wood table /

About the Item

The table is made by combining an old Japanese stump with a newly made tabletop. The wooden tabletop is an irregular oval shape and is painted with cashew paint, which is used as a substitute for lacquer. The finish is shiny black with a hairline pattern on the surface, making it look like a stone fallen in a river. The stump that becomes the legs of the table is a very rare large tree burl, and its shape represents the beautiful natural growth of a tree. As you can see in some of the photos, the shadows created by the unevenness of the bumps are very beautiful, and the colors evoke the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi. The stump is heavy and makes a sturdy table. We hope it will become a part of your interior. Weight: 60 kg
