Italian 19th Century Portoro and White Carrara Marble Wall Crest
About the Item
A sensational and large scale Italian 19th century Portoro and white Carrara marble wall crest. The crest with an oblong design has a bottom acanthus leaf below the carved family crest. Above the crest is a column supporting an elegant bust of Diana the Huntress raised on a mottled socle. The Portoro background is flanked by two white Carrara fitted panels. Above is a handsomely decorated top crown with a central leaf flanked by foliate scrolls. Extremely unique and decorative for interior or exterior use.
