Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning, very large antique circa 1900 Continental oil painting of a forest with a mother and child walking through it finished with an exhibition quality gold gilt metal and wood frame
This piece is exceptionally well executed, the colours, the strokes, everything has clearly been worked at the hands of a very confident and competent painter.
The frame is also a thing of beauty on its own, it is large and some kind of repoussé metal over timber

Set inside a carved gilt framed behind protective glass, this watercolor on paper painting was created circa 1970 and signed in the lower right corner by the artist, George Carpenter.
